This is a supplement that has been extensively studied and tested by scientific research and trials, so it's something that backed up with real evidence. Several studies have found it to help achieve "Region specific fat loss", and one study even stated that it can even prevent holiday weight gain! Better yet, this supplement is NOT a fat burner, it does NOT contain stimulants, and there are generally little to no side effects associated with it! Sounds fantastic doesn't it? So what is it?
This supplement is called CLA. So what is CLA?
CLA stands for Conjugated Linoleic
acid, which is an isomer of LA (Linoleic acid). What
this means is that CLA has a slight rearrangement
of its molecular structure resulting in a fatty acid
with altered chemical functions. Conjugated Linoleic
acid (CLA) is found in meat and dairy products.
CLA is best known for it abilities
to help reduce body fat, improve body composition, and even more interestingly, its apparent ability to help induce region-specific fat loss! In other words, it appears that conjugated linoleic acid can even help some users spot reduce! This is not something made up, but there's actually some scientific evidence to back this up.

Conjugated Linoleic acid (CLA) through a process called biohydrogenation.
The only way for us to get enough CLA is either through
eating dairy and meat products, or through taking CLA supplements.

So what is Tonalin CLA? Tonalin CLA is the leading brand
of CLA, and this is the CLA supplement most research
is being conducted on. There are numerous studies done that have found it to help increase fat metabolism, reduce body fat, and decrease abdominal fat and reduce waist size. I know it might be quite surprising to hear that CLA can even help reduce belly fat and waist sizes, as you've no doubt heard many times repeatedly that you cannot spot reduce! However, some CLA studies have in fact found this to be the case.
On a personal note, I've taken this supplement (tried various brands) many times over the years, and have always found it to be beneficial with controlling body fat. I'm actually quite lean and train seriously all year long, but taking CLA has helped me stay in great shape.

There has been a lot of studies
done on Tonalin CLA and its effects on health, weight
loss, and cancer fighting properties. Many of these
studies have been done on animals, and more and more studies are being conducted using human subjects as well. At the same time, there does appear to be some limited contradicting scientific evidence that have not found supporting evidence for using conjugated linoleic acid for weight loss. However, the majority
of studies have found strong evidence to support Tonalin CLA as a very effective weight loss supplement. To highlight the above, we'll briefly present two studies below:
In this first study, 122 obese adults were put on a 1 year supplement program with conjugated linoleic acid. After the 1 year period, the study found no significant differences in body weight or body fat between the CLA group and the placebo group. Thus their study stated that daily CLA supplementation does not prevent weight gain or help with fat loss in obese individuals. 
In another second study, trials were performed on 180 male and female subjects with a BMI between 25 to 30. The participants were randomized into a CLA or placebo group. The trials lasted for one year. The results found that the CLA groups had significantly lower body fat mass compared to the placebo group. The study also found that the CLA groups had significantly higher lean body mass as well compared to the placebo group. 
As you can see, in 2 different one year long studies, one found no benefits of taking conjugated linoleic acid for weight loss, while another similar study found great benefits for using CLA supplements to reduce body fat mass and increase lean body mass. On a positive note, in the research that we did look at, for Tonalin CLA and weight loss, there is an overwhelming number of studies that have provided scientific evidence and support for its many claimed benefits. Studies have consistently shown that CLA promoted
less body fat and more lean body mass. In various animal
studies, CLA had been shown to promote muscle growth,
prevent muscle loss, lessen fat accumulation and also
increase energy expenditure. In other Tonalin CLA studies
done on humans, researchers found supplementing 3 to 4 grams of
CLA helped the subjects lose body
fat and reduced abdominal fat.
The recommended dosage for CLA is
2.5 to 5 grams per day; however, most people get less
than 1 gram per day from meat and dairy products. If you're planning on taking CLA, order

It is recommended to supplement with CLA for at least a month or longer to see results.
Some CLA studies involving human subjects had trials that lasts 3 to 6 months or even longer. It's best to get enough CLA that will last you longer
