Tri O Plex Protein Bar Review

Chef Jay Tri-O-Plex Bars

I had just finished my stash of Chef Jay's Tri O Plex protein bars, and am sitting here writing this review and thinking about buying some more. Some of my favorite protein bars include the Detour bars, Clif bars, and Luna bars. Now I can add another to my list of great tasting protein bars, although the Tri O Plex bars are somewhat of a different bunch. They're not like the typical 'chocolate bar' type of protein bar, but more of a 'cookie-dough' type. And no, I'm not just referring to the cookie dough peanut butter flavor bars.

The Tri O Plex bars comes in a wide variety of flavors that caters to all sorts of taste preferences. The flavors include peanut butter banana, caramel apple, chocolate coconut, peanut butter chocolate chip, smores, chocolate chip cookie dough, cinnamon raisin, blueberry, banana walnut, and very berry.

Obviously, I haven't tried all of them, but I have had the peanut butter chocolate chip, banana walnut, and cookie dough chocolate chip flavors.

Cookie Dough Chocolate Chip - As the name says, this protein bar tastes just like cookie dough. Fantastic! It has a soft, moist, and slightly chewy texture that makes you feel like your snacking on cookie dough. I give it a 9/10.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip - This is another great tasting protein bar. The texture is also soft and moist. It has a nice, light peanut butter taste. Inside the bar, there are large chunks of peanuts as well. So for those that are allergic to peanuts, you probably will want to avoid this bar. But taste-wise, I thought that this tasted even better than the cookie dough chocolate chip flavor. I give it a 9.5/10.

Banana Walnut - Finally, this brings me to the third flavor I tried. The Banana Walnut bars are soft, moist, and has a very pleasant tasting natural banana flavor. I thought it was very enjoyable. There are also plenty of crushed walnuts sprinkled throughout the entire protein bar which adds a nice taste and texture to the bar. 9/10.

If you're looking for a new protein bar to try, or need a protein snack for those busy moments, give Tri-O-Plex a try, you won't be disappointed.
