MuscleTech Nitro Tech Review

MuscleTech Nitro Tech is another whey protein powder which we compared in our price shoppers' protein comparison guide. It came in second last in terms of the cost for protein content, just beating out Methoxy Pro.

Many users have had positive reviews on NitroTech. If you've used Nitro Tech, please share your review of it here. But before you go out and buy some for yourself, you should read the rest of this review.

97% Whey Protein Isolate? Don't Be Fooled!

In every single Nitro Tech ad, you'll see this line: "SynthePro is an exclusive blend of whey protein including whey peptides and a new 97% whey protein isolate". Wow! Doesn't that sound great? A whooping 97% whey protein isolate content! Well, not really... If you've read our article explaining the difference between Whey protein isolate and concentrate, you'll know that Whey protein isolate costs a lot more than concentrate.

Muscletech NitroTech isn't 97% whey protein isolate. It just means that the isolates used are 97% protein, not 97% whey protein isolate. This reported percentage is also on a dry basis, which means the isolates in Nitro Tech is 97% protein after all moisture is removed. In general, protein products has 4 to 8% moisture, which means on an "as-is basis", Nitro Tech could have less than 90% protein content.

I think this needed some clearing up, as many people believe that NitroTech is almost all pure whey protein isolate. It's a mix of whey isolate and concentrate, like most other whey protein supplements - to keep the cost down.

Muscle Tech Nitro-Tech Shake Taste Test

NitroTech comes in 3 standard flavors: chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. It has a pretty decent taste (I've only tried chocolate so far), and many other users have had some positive reviews on its taste.

Quality-wise, I don't think Nitro Tech is a standout from the rest of the protein supplements. It's not made of pure whey isolate as some might think, and it has a pretty standard line-up of ingredients and amino acids like Glutamine, Leucine, Arganine, Phenylalanine, and it also has some creatine as well.

Each serving of Nitro Tech has 110 calories, 1.5g fat, 3g carbs and 20g protein.

At retail, a 4lb tub of NitroTech can cost you upwards of $80 bucks. pretty expensive if you ask me. Even though it works quite good, and many people have had good results from using it, I find the price tag a little hard to swallow. But you can save some money, and get Nitro Tech for under $60 bucks purchasing it online. Click the link below:
