Promax Protein Bar Taste Test

So far, I've enjoyed all the flavors of Promax bars I've tried - 3 flavors so far: cookies and cream, double fudge brownie, and chocolate peanut crunch. These protein energy bars come in a total of 8 different flavors:

  1. double fudge brownie
  2. mocha blast
  3. chocolate peanut crunch
  4. cookies and cream
  5. honey peanut
  6. rocky road
  7. wild berry cheese
  8. chocolate caramel crunch

Maybe I'll get to all of them one of these days. ;-) Lets see how the 3 flavors I tried tasted.

Promax cookies 'n cream

  • Taste - 9.5
  • Texture - 9
  • Moisture - 9
  • Chewieness - 8
  • Sweetness  - 8.5
  • Toughness - 8
  • Overall - 9
I really like this one. It's a very nice tasting bar. It's not overly sweet, but with just the right amount of sweetness. The white coating on the outside is the sweet part, and the brown filling inside tastes very good. It has a very very soft texture, and is not tough to chew at all. This was probably my favorite of the 3 flavors I tried.

Promax double fudge bownie

  • Taste - 9
  • Texture - 9
  • Moisture - 9
  • Chewieness - 8
  • Sweetness  - 8.5
  • Toughness - 8
  • Overall - 8.75

Very "chocolaty", and nice tasting. Very soft, smooth, and somewhat chewy texture. Every bite makes you want to take another bite.

Promax chocolate peanut crunch

  • Taste - 8.5
  • Texture - 8.5
  • Moisture - 8.5
  • Chewieness - 8.5
  • Sweetness  - 9
  • Toughness - 9
  • Overall - 8.5

This was my least favorite of the bunch I tried. It has a really nice initial taste with all the chocolate and crushed peanut bits, which gives it a very nice texture. But as you chew it, the taste just seems not as good, until the next fresh bite. Not sure why that is, or it might just be me. Overall its still a pretty good tasting bar.

Promax energy bars are quite inexpensive as well. Online, you can get a box of 12 bars for just under $16, and that's just a little over a dollar per bar.
