Animal Stak from Universal Nutrition is quite a specific product made for the hardcore bodybuilders. Looking at the 8 different stacks in the formula, it's no wonder its called "Animal Stak". Pretty long list huh?

We'll take a look at the more important ones here.

Prohormones Stack - Animal Stak uses 150mg of Androstenedione, 50mg of Androstenediol, and 50mg of DHEA. Androstenedione isn't that great in our opinion, but with the Androstenediol and DHEA, this could be a decent stack. Find out why we don't care much for Androstenedione here, and also in this Andro research update article. Also, you should get a good understanding of possible side effects of using prohormones.

GH factors - GH stands for growth hormone. Both Arginine and Ornithine help in boosting GH. Through these 2 amino acids, you get a list of benefits from increased GH: helps protein synthesis, lowers protein degeneration, promotes amino acid uptake in muscles, among other important anabolic functions. Taurine is the second most abundant amino acid after glutamine. It's one of the building blocks of protein. It helps enhance glucose and amino acid transport into muscle cells.

LH booster - LH stands for lutenizing hormone. LH stimulates the production of testosterone, and we all know that testosterone is what really helps us build muscles, and at the same time, gives males their defining characteristics. I won't go in detail about the ingredients here. Read our article on Tribulus Terrestris here.

Thermogenics - Not much more needs to be said about thermogenics. I talk about thermogenics fat loss and the ECA stack in many articles in this website. Read about thermogenics in this article. (PS. Ma Huang is ephedrine.)

DHT blockers - DHT or Dihydrotestosterone is associated with hair loss, most often in men, but also happens to women. It causes your hair follicle to eventually shut down. Hair loss is a common side effect of prohormone users. So adding some DHT blockers to the formula is definitely a good thing.

Estrogen Blockers - You should know that DHEA is a 2 step precursor to testosterone. DHEA converts to andro compounds, and it can also convert into estrogen - which is responsible for feminine characteristics. So estrogen blockers are a good thing too.

Update: With the FDA ban on andro products, animal stak has been discontinued. There are other "animal" products from universal nutrition, and their new version of Animal Stak 2 is available.
