Triceps Rope Pulldown Technique & Execution

  • Grip the rope with your palms facing each other
  • Pulldown the rope until your arms are fully extended, and pulling the rope handles apart at the bottom of the movement for the extra contraction
  • Release the rope and bring it back up to starting position
  • Keep your elbows close to your sides during the movement

Overhead Triceps Rope Extension Exercise

This is a variation of the tricep extension exercise, except it is performed using the rope on a high pulley.

Triceps Rope Extension Technique & Execution

  • Stand with your back facing the pulley
  • Grab hold of the rope with your hands behind your head, and lean forward
  • Extend your arms out fully feeling your triceps contract
  • Then release the weight back to starting position

Two Arm Dumbbell Triceps Extension

Performing the dumbbell extension using two arms seated on a bench allows you to use heavy weights to really work the triceps.

Two Arm Dumbbell Extension Technique & Execution

  • Sitting on a bench, with your two hands supporting the inside of the dumbbell, bring it directly up overhead with arms fully extended
  • Lower the dumbbell directly behind your head, while keeping your elbows steady
  • Press the weight back up to starting position
