Question How much can I lose in 1 month and a half?

I need your help....I am going away on June 5th so that gives me about 1 month and a half to lose some weight....

I am a girl, 5'6'' and I weigh 168 lbs...Most of my weight goes on my stomach my upper arms..
I would love to lose 30lbs but that might be too much.....I believe in old fashion diet and exercise and realistic goals, so there's no way I can lose 20 lbs in such a short time unless I starve myself.

Realistically speaking, do you think I can lose at least 10lbs with a good diet and exercise program in such a short time?

Would you recomend any supplements? i tried hoodia and it did nothing for me. Also I am currently talking Leans+

How old are you...????

You need to eat clean, low carbs, low fats, low sugars, lots of water.... no junk food, fast food, fried foods, sodas...lay off the crap... no eating right before bed...

and do lots of cardio to get your metabolism up and burn fat... Get some good rest at night…

As for supplements, you don't really need them.. If your 20s+, caffeine might help to keep your energy and metabolism up.. but don’t become dependent on it…

I'd agree with that..I mean you can lose up to 25 lbs if you really want to, but at what cost? Try that and you will lose all the muscle you have.
So if you want to look like a Nazi Camp survivor go for it.

If you want to maintain the muscle, take it off slower, 6-10 lbs in 6 weeks is pretty good from what I know

I drinks lots of water, I am careful with what I eat and I feel like I can't get rid of this weight. I am bad at times, once or twice a week I will have a muffin but I am good most of the time.

I do not smoke, I don;t drink pop, I eat mainly grilled meats, nothing but chicken (personal choice) but I don't work out as much as I should and I think that's what it is.

In 6 weeks you can drop 15lbs on a low carb diet. As a male I have lost 15lbs in 2 1/2 weeks so I would think a female could do it in 5-6 weeks easily.

Again, you can lose 30 lbs easily in 2 months
But you will lose as much muscle as you do in fat and that is not a good thing what so ever!
It's not as easy as just dropping weight, you have to do it right.

The proportion of muscle loss to body fat loss is what one needs to consider as their main concern when cutting....The secret to success lies in losing body fat while maintaining muscle

I think that the amount of weight you'll lose in that time depends on the person.
For example, I doubt I'd lose much weight if I upped my cardio and exercised more (but I don't have extra weight to lose).

I think if you're overweight, and just starting out on your exercise/workout plan, you can lose excess weight faster.
Once you reach a certain point, your progress will slow down, but I think that even the smallest changes on someone just starting out will make a big difference.

I didn't get into the diet part of it because you already say that it's pretty good. But I'm sure that there are adjustments you can make with that as well...small things like timing your carb intake properly is just one example.

One thing you didn't mention that you don't eat is SUGAR. You said you don't drink pop, but what about sugar in other things? For me, "Sugar is the devil". Sugar and I don't get along. I noticed back after my second baby that once I cut out sugar, that's when my real weight loss started. When I get food with a nutrition panel on it, the first thing I look at is not the FAT, it's the sugar. There are SO many things in this world with hidden sugars. And a lot of times things that were designed as "low fat" have TONS of sugar in them. Look on a can of slim fast (not that I would recommend Slimfast, just pointing out it's marketed as a weight loss supplement) --- Creamy Milk Chocolate - 3 grams of fat. Not bad, huh? Guess what though? 34 grams of SUGAR! ON TOP OF 40 CARBS! Look at a low fat salad dressing - Newman's Own Low Fat Sesame Ginger - 3 grams of fat 16 grams of sugar -- in 2 tablespoons. And also, what are your carb sources? Do you get "good carbs" or bad carbs that may be low fat?

There's a LOT that can be interpreted about a diet. Can you post yours for us??

I pretty much follow the "Body-for-life" diet, eat 6 healthy small meals a day but not always....I guess my inconsistency got the better of me.

wish there was a magic pill you can take to slim down....oh well, we can only dream for now, maybe in the future!!!

I am going to up my cardio I think that;s my problem - I am going to get a mini trampoline and start bouncing...i heard that is good cardio....i'll let you know how it goes.
