Default weight loss

I am looking to loose a good 50 pounds of fat and would like to know what to take. I am looking for somekind of protein shake that is lactose free and if possible Kosher. I can not tolerate dairy with lactose. Also if there is a safe fat burner that is not just marketing please let me know. I weight currently 230 and im 5ft 5.

I love it when people ask about supps instead of diet and training.

Yes, I agree with the best of them that diet and exercise might be one of the options but that should be no reason for him to stop searching.

Keep up the search bro, you're going to find something out there. There's always something for everyone.

When you mean fat burners that aren't just marketing, is your meaning, fat burners that have had studies done on them proving they work?

Are you currently in training? Do you have any nutrition / health related knowledge?

if you lose fat without dieting and exercise wont the fat just come back when you stop taking stuff?

Just run hard, lift hard, eat right. and if you dotn see results in a few days dont quit.this isnt a 2 week process.

Something you can do to correct a problem is see what helped supply the problem, and DONT DO THAT! if your house in on fire you arent going to feed it gasoline. you got fat because you most likely didnt eat right and didnt exercise. you didnt get fat because you werent taking fat burners. just do the opposite.i hope this made sense.

My diet and all that is in tact.
Now I just need a good nutritional support program.
What I mean is I have taken lots of those so called FAT BURNERES from vpx, sann, muscle tech etc and I felt like I got ripped off with some placebo effect.
I would like to take something that is not based on advertisements but based on solid science. I feel like GNC has ripped me off far enough.
Also if you can recomend me some lactose free protein that is preferably kosher.

Not trying to be a butt head but post your diet and routine. All of us here have learned, what we thought was "clean" was not as clean as it should have been. Your meals maybe great, but if you aren't eating enough (starvation) your body will hold what you eat as fat. If your Carbs, Protein, and Fats are off, then you can get fat. If your exercise routine is off, then you just compound your diet issues. Posting your diet and routine gives us more information.

Talk about assumptions....omg he's jewish? What a brain you are, I would've never guessed! So he's Jewish and now that you put him out there, what religion are you, if you're stable enough as a man to even be able to pick one. More non Jews eat Kosher foods than Jewish people do.

All retardness aside, NewKid...

I used to work @ a supplement company and I always used to experience unsatisfied customers putting in their negative feedback about the products they took like Hydroxycut, etc. The people that used to take these products also were serious BB'ers and health enthusiasts. I'm talking perfectionists, they know calories for every single product ever created and these people would come back pretty bummed ready to try the next one because all they experienced in their words were "increased heart rate, quicker dehydration, etc." and the list goes on. Those people that noticed it, didn't even know where the difference took place or why. They just swore by it because they would get so excited over marketing and ads that they would think they took a miracle pill.

Two words: placebo effect

The thing is that we never really know what results (positive or negative) we're inducing on ourselves until somebody has to go and do a study and that's when we REALLY know if what we're consuming is working or not.

As far as rokstar's comment about the fat just coming back when you stop supplementing things like the fat burners and weight loss products out on the market...

The reason why we go thru so many diets in our lifetime is because when a diet that concerns you using weight loss products or fat burners (like the ones out on the market right now), the moment you stop using the products, your body's metabolism slows back down because you stopped using the product and again comes back the weight..sucks right. Not to mention with many fat loss products and programs, you also tend to lose muscle also and muscle is a huge factor that is a major plus when trying to lose fat & weight.

Why don't you tell us a little more about yourself? Maybe a mini-bio of some sort so everyone can quit the psychic approach like they really know what's going on and then we'll see what can really be done.

I eat a high protein diet with lots of fruits and salads. My fat intake is very low.
I take in about 100-200 grams of protein in one day on the low.
My calories are around 1500 to 2500 caloires a day.
My carbs are fairly decent not to low not to high.

I lift 5 days a week using this max program or something. It was on this site. The max something.
I take sana's 3 times a week and sweet out a lot of stuff. DannyBoy9 I am glad you told me your experience with not just me having the same feelings but people at your store that said the products said they did not work. I kinda of figured that after my 5th product and now with you here it really makes me upset. I wish I could just get my money back. The only thing I got was a empty wallet lol. Dannyboy9 since you seem to have some knowledge as you worked in a supplement store what product would you recomend. Do you have any thing in your store that worked?

Well I don't want you to make me out to look like I know everything, I just know what works and what doesn't. I personally find interest in things that do work and I like to research the science behind why certain products work and others don't. To tell you the truth, the way I feel about supplements is that the reason why I don't find them too reliable is because the companies themselves haven't been out for at least 30 years (to best of MY knowledge, if I am incorrect, someone please correct me! ).

After reading many nutrition related books concerning vitamins and all sorts of supplements, one thing all of them will agree on (They can't really disagree on much though, science is science lol) is that before buying a product, you should always make sure you find a reputable company that has been out for at least 30 years and I would also find it very reassuring if the company provided me with some clinical evidence that their products work. I mean with the slackness of the FDA nowadays, virtually anyone can come out with a product, slap on a name and make their own "propietary blend" and put it out on the market with no real proof or assurance that it works, just advertising, which I find scary.

What product would I recommend? Well what have you tried? lol

Hoodia & Kava Kava....?

No comment on that.

Well GNC, is a Nazi Land to me and you're Jewish as our most observant member stated so I'm sure I know how you feel about GNC if you feel the same I do. GNC is worked by college students that know less than the average newbie that comes on here. You throw in a few big words like "published clinical studies" and "biologically complete protein" and they look @ you like you're talking gibberish and point you to the nearest product hoping they can get close to what you might be asking for

Try this phrase Casey and watch the smoke start coming out of their ears:

"What is the bio-availability of this Creatine?"

I just love doing that!

Dannyboy9 knows what I am talking about.

Alriiight!

so I'm not the ONLY one that's experienced the ignorance and idiocracy!

If you all want to REALLY want a good waking up, try contacting the supplement marketed companies and ask them if they hae any clinical studies proving their product's effectiveness distinguishing their line of supplements apart from others. All they'll tell you with is that they can send you their certificates of analysis.

Anybody want to take a wildshot what that means?

C'mon! I'll well rep you if you get it right

Hint: It doesn't mean jack when you're asking about how to distinguish if their products are better than the next company's
