Default Gastric Bypass

I had gastric bypass surgery in 8/2000. I am still having trouble loosing the last 30 lbs or so. I have tried different supplements, however if the supplements contain any form of niacin I break out immediatly with a rash on my face and my eyes swell. I am always hungry and would like some ideas on curbing my appetite. I use a treadmill and a total gym. It's the hunger issue that I'm having trouble with - any ideas to curb this?

You could look into hoodia for appetite control...

But take care not to eat so little calories, that you shift into starvation mode.. It's quite easy to do.

I have heard from a couple of people that hoodia didn't really work too well (also, if you do decide to get Hoodia get it from a reputable company/ I have heard that alot of products being sold as Hoodia actually contain no Hoodia). I think I have read about mixed results as well....What about something with Citrimax in it or something like that? Or is that no good either?

I have some quick methods to curb my appetite that don't involve supps...drink more water (mix it up with the flavored kinds without the artificial sweeteners), chew gum, suck on Lifesavors/Halls Vitamin C drops/Tic-Tacs, and just stay busy. Take up a hobby or a sport or something...anything to keep your mind off food. It takes some will-power of course, but it'll all work if you set your mind to it.

I find oatmeal kills my hunger real good. Like Poobah said above, avoiding starvation mode is another thing if you are crash dieting which isn't the right way of doing it. Lotta hoodia products out there, if I were to use one I'd use 1fast's hoodia powder.

I strongly suggest Protein drinks. When you have gastric bypass there is no way you can get enough protein with the large tablespoon sized stomach you now have. It will help curb your appetite some, I am surprised after the operation you have an appetite for food. My girlfriend had GP and no desire to eat.
