Default loosing weight

Hey I am new here and I have been doing some reading so I just want to confirm what I suspect might be my pitfall. I am looking to loose a few pounds probably around 10-15. A year ago I was stuck in the mass building funk I was at 217 at 6 feet and and lifting heavy and on d-bol and test. Since then I have cleaned out on the stacks and want to lean out so I have started cardio 5 days a week and resorted to lighter lifting just to keep toned. The first week i started I was 205 and i lost 5 pounds and the 2nd week i lost 2 pounds. Now this week I maintained. My diet is clean and perhaps too clean since I am watching calories like a hawk. I am sitting at 198 and would like to get down to about 180-185. I am burning about 500-600 calories a day walking to and from work and with my cardio and lifting and probably taking in about 1000 calories a day so I think this might be too little. I am eating mostly vegetables, fruit and chicken. Any suggestions on shedding these addition pounds the clean way w/out supplements (for now).
thanks in advance

You need more calories. With how many you are burning and taking in, your body is probably freaking out and conserving anything it gets because its not much. Get to maybe around 2000-2500...still eating clean. Also, i dont know why you are lifting light, I mean, just keep lifting like normal, I dont think you need to back off the weight. Also, you might be doing TOO much cardio.

I lost about 40 pounds, over the the course of a year, i was only watching my eating like 4 of those months....but I just did 2 or 3 days of sprints a week. LIke interval sprinting. I would reccomend HIT cardio. Some short but intense, my sessions never last over 20 minutes.

That may not work for you, but something to think about. I would definitely get more food, 1000 calories for your size isnt healthy, your bodies natural metabolism wont kick in like it should if u deprive it. Keep up good eating habits, but eat some more. Good luck.

wnxmaximus thanks bud that's what i thought and you're right. I haven't tried to trim down like this ever I always was on bulking cycles. I am upping my cals to 2k to 2500 a day and my cardio is either 15 minutes of stairs or 20 min of eliptical for now and yes i have started going back to my normal routine and adding weight. As soon as I lean out to where I want to be I am going to only go 10 min on the bike and get back to predominately lifting....Then hopefully come March it will be time to go back on!!!

well another week has passed and i lost no weight how can this be? may pants seem to be getting bigger but nothing showing on the scale
below is a small summary of my day:

1 cup of oatmeal for breakfast
walk 1 mile to the office
about 45 min later eat 1-2 pieces of fruit
about 1 hour later have a protien bar
then cardio and lifting (15 min cardio 35-40 min lifting)
right afterwards eat usually chicken salad or chicken soup (equivilant of at leat 8 to 10oz of chicken) also a protien bar
afternoon snack either fruit or protien again
walk 1 mile home
dinner usually between 6-7
again at least 8-10 oz of either chicken, veal, pork or steak and a vegetable

putting away 75-100 oz of water a day and workouts feel good i don't feel sluggish

i have gone back up in weight for my lifting but i doubt i am gaining that much muscle to compensate for any sort of fat loss i am experienecing
no alcohol no eating after 7 so what gives here? thanks in advance

try ignoring the scale for now and use a tape measure and BF caliper. You're in the right directoin just give it a little bit and document your measurments from both.

Ya, the scale can be deceiving. I have gained 1 pound in about 5 months now. Only one pound gained, but my bench press has gone from repping 185 for 3 reps, to 225 for 4 - 6 reps. So, I hav made alot of progress on my lifting, but my weight is basically the same. I have lost 2 inches off of my waist though. So my advice is avoid the scale, if i went by the scale i would of been at a 5 month plateau, which would be depressing, but then I use my tape measurer and caliper, and I see the results.

thanks guys the pants seem to be getting bigger but like the scale the mirror can be giving false readings i feel like i have a huge gut but i guess it can't be that bad my waist is a 32/33
i'm just gonna put the head down and crush for the next 12 weeks before i decide to re-aquaint myself with the mirror and the scale
