Default Powerlung?

Do these powerlung things actually work?
I already train pretty regularly running usually somewhere between 3-5 miles session. I know there are probably tons of people on here who would smoke me, but also not to toot my own horn but I run a 19 min. 3 mi. The Marine Corps physical fitness test maxes out at 18 minutes and it seems to be my elusive goal of attaining that time. Would a Powerlung actually help me out? I wanted to see if I could get any feed back from others before dropping $120~~.

They claim to work, but i suspect its just a gimmick, nothing like proper hard training.

Actually, doing a lot of HIIT improved my long distance times a lot. Try doing 200yd or 400yd sprint sessions twice a week on top of your normal running. You'll be amazed.

Thanks guys, and believe me I know the value of hard training. I seem to have found my the unicorn I can't catch at that 18 minute 3 mi.
