Default Achilles Injury/Ankle Sprain

I don't have an official diagnosis since I haven't seen a doctor, but that's how it feels. There is definitely some ligament damage as the pain stretches through the bottom of my heel up the back of my ankle. It happened from a violent rolling of my ankle in the snow about 2 months ago. I started playing basketball again about a month ago. I didn't feel 100% but I felt good enough to play. I would say it was around 80-85%. The pain wasn't too bad, but I had almost no explosiveness at all. Anyway, I re-aggravated the injury yesterday and I'm planning on shutting it down for a month and evaluating where I am.

My question is, what do I do? I understand this is a very frustrating injury to come back from because it's hard to rest your foot all the time and even if you do the recovery is slow. Should I go to a rehab center or can I manage this on my own with round the clock therapy?

My friend ruptured both achilles and required surgery to re-attach them. I can ask him what he felt when that happened but from what I remember he couldn't walk at all. A partial tear might allow you to walk but if I were you I would see a doctor

I think it's best to go see a doctor. I thought I could rehab my knee on my own and a few months later it just gave out. Get some help.
