Default Hernia?

I'll try to describe this as best I can, any advice would be appreciated.

About a year ago, I was working a construction job, there was a big stack of metal studs that went in the wall and needed to be moved. I bent over with the studs to my right, and proceeded to slide them back with my right arm. I felt a strange warm feeling in the crease between my leg and testicles, about like icey hot on your shoulder.

I asked the foreman, he sent me to the doctor just as a precaution, and they didnt find any hernia. My groin was a little tender for a day or 2, nothing bad. Well I went to China for 3 months, and didnt work out while there, my groin began to ache, sorta like there was somethin like a hot bolt or something in the muscle trying to poke out. Not above the testicles, but the inside crease of my leg.

When I came back to America, I started working out again. A lot lighter, and a lot less, and I will either have a horizontal stabbing pain about 2/3 the way across my stomach, below my navel in a real narrow line, about as wide as a pencil line, or that small area in the crease of my leg will hurt. I got that perfect pushup thing for christmas, and it has really started hurting. Which is odd, I do more than 150 pushups a day anyway.

It seems to do one of 2 things, no matter the exercise.

1. I can exercise every day, with no pain, but if for some reason I don't for a day or 2, then my groin gets that burning pain in my leg.

2. It hurts immediately after exercise, but mildly.

It's usually the #1. Sometimes with my job and family, I may miss a day a week, if I do, that's really when the burning begins. And it will continue, stopping me from exercise for a week or more.

The doctors haven't found a hernia, but everyone says it sounds like one. I know it's probably a bad description, and if I can add anything to clear it up, please let me know.

I've tried coughing and checking around the crease in my leg, it seems fine. No bulge when I cough. No tenderness to touch 98% of the time, usually only when it burns badly. It did have one really bad stabbing pain today, that's what prompted me to come here, kinda doubled me over. It's like a cross between a friction burn, and sometimes like a finger tryin to poke through.

It sounds kinda weird and I don't know the technical term for this ligament/muscle/tendon whatever it is, but it kinda feels at times like that big thingamabob that runs right up the center of the groin and down the side of my leg may actually be the problem, where it attaches in the groin area.

Why would I only have this pain if I slack off exercising, I feel it's related to the work injury, but good lord, what kind of injury?
