Default Pulled Muscle, work through?

For the last week or so i have had a slight pull/strain in my upper back. (Just below my shoulder blade)
No sharp pain, doesn’t hurt with movement, no serious pain at all really. Just some tightness and a fatigued feeling in that spot when i stand for a while.

Anyway.. Questions is, how do you treat minor things like this? Is it ok to just kind of push through it?

BTW I did it racking DB's, not doing an actual exercise.

Personally I would lay off it a while isntead of pushing it. If you push it you could do more damage to it and be off the weights for a longer period of time. Better safe than sorry

get a massage or better yet, learn to do your own foam rolling or tennis ball MFR.

check out this link. it shows you how to look after your soft tissue injuries.

I would concentrate on all movements that do not aggravate that area when performed! You dont want to make the injury worse or prolong the injury.

You may have to skip out on back work all together for a week or 2.
Work what you can.

LOL @ the NEWB double posting...........

I would take any time off - just go easy on that particular area, although still work it.

LOL i actually just had a Deep Tissue / Swedish massage on sunday! GF got it for me for my 23rd bday. (was a really classy place, no "birthday special")

It was relaxing and all, but to be honest i don't really feel in looser or anything.
