Was it more of a POP or a crack like you said? If your not in much pain you may have lucked out. See how you feel tomorrow.

Do you have insurance, or are on your parents insurance? Go to the doctor if you are concerned.

Moving to sports injuries.

sometimes i get a pain after deads... but it subsides by the next day. but for a couple hours it hurts to move and the rest of the workout is painful. then the next day its fine.

A crack? Doesn't sound good man. I mean it could have been as simple as your back popping, but that doesn't explain the soreness. Have you tried icing it down? Stretching?

Good luck with it - hopefully its just simple soreness.

could be just your back popping...kinda like when you go to the chiropractor. If the pain continues or gets worse definitely seek medical attention

Ouch!

I had a very similar thing happy to me when I was doing t-bar rows (incorrectly). I heard a big pop and then blinding pain. I had to sit down for awhile and my back was unbelievably sore for 3-4 days.

I'd goto a doctor if the pain is still severe...only you know for sure.

I have two fractures on the same disc on my lower back and deads really hurt if your form is off at all. Id take a couple weeks off like 2 and when you go back start lighter and keep your form perfect every rep. Hyperextension of the back can cause you to fracture ur back pretty easy exspecially while doing deads. from the souds of things tho it does seem like you fractured anything. let me tell you when i got my first one its sharp pain and i could barley walk. You probably juss tweaked it. same thing has happened to me. after a week it was good again. just stay of deads for awhile, ice up and if its still painful after 2-3 weeks go to the doctor.
