Hello,
I wanted to make sure I have great abs for the summer so as I was laying down on a bench and pulling my legs up I thought to myself why not connect my legs to one side of the cable cross machine with some weight on it (25kg to be exact). so i did that and my back was suffering due to the strain from going up and down with the cable but i thought i was smarter than my back so I kept going. anyway, I woke up the next morning with my left lower back hurting. When I sit down it hurts sometimes until i sit for more than a few minutes and it adjusts. when I stand it hurts if I turn. the pain isnt that bad unless I make sudden movements and then its a pain. so 2 questions please for anyone who feels like answering 1) does that sounds like something that can cause the back pain im experiencing? and 2) should i take a break completely from the gym or can i just not do abs for a week or so? thanks. Dont try to make up exercises it usually leads to injury.
That being said, you shouldnt be worried so much about training your abs as you should what youre eating. Abs are made in the kitchen. So rest up till you dont hurt anymore and work on your diet.
