Default Torn Ligament in Wrist

well, i have to go get an MRI on my wrist today because the doc said he feels that I tore a ligament on the outside of my wrist. I have been dealing with pain in the wrist off and on now for about 3 years and have just lifted through it. I am 5lbs away from benching 300lbs which has been my goal for about two years now, and will be extremely angry if i need surgery and a long recovery period. I know this is not a question or anything but i just needed to vent. Wish me luck.

how did he come to the conclusion of torn ligaments?I'm asking because i'm also lifting through with wrist pain.. What kind of pain are you suffering from?I've taken cissus Rx, glucosamine, ice, heat, time off, nothing has helped.. The only reason I haven't had it checked... It doesn't hurt on every kind of lift..

drexel, you should get it checked out....lots of severe and chronic injuries result from pushing minor injuries too far without recovery time, better safe than sorry. i'd recommend ytou go see a doc just in case.

thunder, good luck bro

you're right.. I'm just the kind of person who doesn't go to the doctor unless absolutely necessary..

Dude i am the same way you are. Like i said, this has been bothering me for three years now. The pain is on the outside of my wrist and comes anytime i face my palm up and lift. I can not even curl the bar without pain. Also, using heavy dumbells agrivates my wrist since they are harder to stablize then the bar. I would go to the doc man, i am sure i made my injury worse by waiting so long.
