Default Swollen palms (near pinky)

I dont know how worried I should be.. I just got done with some intense weight training, took about 50 minutes. Afterwards I look down at my hands with my thumbs up and noticed that the bottom of my palms near my pinky is swollen, and pretty badly too.. I am not sure what this is all about, but it looks pretty strange, its giving me no pain, but I am very concerned about it. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? Or have any advice? This really sucks, makes my fingers look very small compared to the size of the swollen palms.

Ice the area for 15 minutes every hour. You can also take something like motrin to help with the inflammation. As long as you are having no pain you should be fine. Used to happen from me from time to time back when I was haying.

I've done farm work a few times in my life. By haying I was talking about picking up the hay bales from the field and tossing them up on a truck, then unloading them into the barn...tossing them off the truck up to the hayloft. It's pretty brutal work on the hands due to the weight of the bales and the strings/twine that beat the snots out of your palms. Even with heavy gloves to prevent burns and cuts my palms would swell.
