Angry forearm pain

Just over a week ago i tried to increased my max reps on benchpressing. On the last rep i got stuck halfway, and as i didn't have a spotter i really had to bust my nuts to fifnish the rep. I tried curls straight after and the underneath of my forearm expolded in pain. Over a week later i can benchpress, flye etc with no pain, but any curl is still painful. anyone got any suggestions as to what could be causing the pain??

How long have you been working out? Maybe microfractures.

Its pretty common to get the hairline fractures in your forearm when your new to working out. I had it too, actually in both my forearms. Curling was very painfull. It lasted for months. It'll go away eventually. Just use very light weight on curls(like the bar), and each workout or every other workout increase the weight like 5 lbs. Get enough calcium and vitamin D(i think its D that allows calcium to absorb) Dont worry about glucosamine and condroiten<sp> msm, it wont do jack for ya.

The above is all imo, does not mean that is your situation. Does the pain feel like its in the bone or more like muscle/tendon/ligament type pain.

It does feel more of a bone related pain then muscle or tendon, tho I also suffer from carpel tunnel ( due to too many wrist curls), would this make a difference??

Are you on an anabolic cycle? Thats one of the immediate side effects it does on your body (shin and forearm splints). triple strenght gluc. and condr. work good mixed with calcium.

a friend of mine is having a very similar problem...along with front barbell rows..and nearly any sort of EZ bar curls...he complains almost immediately about a pain in his forearm...but more specifically on his bone under his forearm..any idea what this could be?? aside from microfractures...is it possible his bone can be bruised..if anyone has any ideas other then the common "start with low weight and work back up"...it would be appreciated.. and he has been active in working out for nearly 2 years now...any advice would be greatly appreciated??
