Default Hammer Curl Injury

Can anyone tell me why when I do hammer curls or reverse curls, on my left arm in the little crease between your bicep and forearm feels like it is being pinched and it hurts so bad I can't do one rep fully. It just feels like a vein is about to pop or something. I can do the right arm just not the left. It doesn't matter if it is the first lift of the day, it always does it. I hope it is not a nerve or something. I do have really big veins in my arms, but I don't know if that is what it is.

Could be a little tear in one of your ligaments on top of your elbow. You should give the injured arm a week or so, to rest. Maybe you should look into some joint supps. too.

G-yah I found it. Hope the mods allow it.

The only thing is that it has been doing that for at least 6 months. Pretty much ever since the first time that I tried doing any of those kinds of lifts.

Does it only happen when you do Hammer curls?

Yeah that and reverse curls. I can do regular curls, concentration curls, and all others just not those two.

Too much strain from masturbating!!jk

I've felt similar things before and it was do to a strain. Give it a break for a while and then try with lower weights. Worked for me. That and gloves with wrist support.

Constructor is on a distinguished road
Exclamation Forarm & Bi's

Try icing & heat twice a day for about a week or 2. It may be a strain or it may be a tear. The difference is; if you strained it, it can be healed if you stop doing the hammers and reverses but you have to do the icing and heat for a week or so and if its still jacked up, go see a doctor it will most like be a tear. Try doing light weight wrist curls for a week especially palms down and leave the reverse curls and hammers alone for a while until the wrist curls help strengthen the forearms.

I will probably leave the hammer curls out of my workout for a really long time. That hurts like crazy and I would rather not do it at all.

Just give it a good couple of weeks to heal up. Be sure to stretch the arm for at least 5 minutes a day. Try and stretch it for 20-30 sec. at a time and that should speed things up as long as you don't over do it.
