First things first my friend, heat and an anti-inflammatory. A warm wash cloth wrapped around the wrists and some ibuprofen will start you on the way to feeling better. In the future I would highly recommend wrist wraps by Inzer Designs (Z-wrap) which you can get for a good price via ebay auction, or Titan wraps. Any stabilization is going to help you in pressing movements but you should provide yourself some time for healing and then wrap up and press on!

I have been looking for a good set of wrist straps and wal-mart and k-mart dont really have any. Where is a good place to order online except ebay? I don't really want to hassle with them as a first choice to by something. Thanks, I will have to try those things when I get home.

These the straps you are talking about? If they are, what length should I get? I am a big guy, 6'1 275 so I need all the support I can get when I lift. I tried other wrist supports and they just seem to have too much bend in them and don't keep the wrist stable enough. |

Hi King,
Inzer is the powerlifter's favorite brand for everything from bench pressing "shirts" to suits and wraps. You can find the 12 inch and 36 inch wrist wrap(s) options available from ToFitInc at about a buck and change off what the Inzer site sells them for. Here's the link: http://www.tofitinc.com/servlet/Cate...r+Lifting+Gear If you want a longer support go with the 36 inch and your wrist wrap will look similar to the tape job of an NFL lineman. If you want easy on and off and easier portability, the 12 inch ones are (also) adjustable in tightness and easy to tuck in a sweatshirt pocket. Let me know if you get them and how you like them. I'm really "lost" without them...they've helped all my pressing movements with added support. Best of Lifting To You |
