I think he should stay on the bicep/chest routine for AT LEAST 3 days before he switches to the 12 day split

You'd be surprised at how many teenagers do bench and bicep curls everyday and expect to get huge.

I was n HS not too long ago, and I'll tell you it was very common for some idiot kid to do bench 4X a week with bicep curls thinking he was gonna be a beast.
