Post loosing fat without loosing muscle?

i was wondering if doing cardio will take muscle away from your body. I wanted to get my abs to show more and with that is cardio and dieting, and i don't want to do loads of cardio if it will make me lose muscle mass. How can i lose a little fat without losing muscle?

If you only have "a little" fat to lose, then why not just make a diet change?
You can cut a few cals or play around with proven methods for fat loss like "Carb Cycling" and let nature take it's course.
I lost 25+ lbs with carb cycling with no muscle loss and I did it within 3 months and with NO CARDIO.

Bottom line: The slower you take the fat off, the best chance you have for total muscle preservation.

If you do cardio, just dont do lengthy sessions (20-30 mins tops, or alot less if you do Interval training like HIIT)

Good Luck bro

One more thing to add to what BG=LD said, make sure you have worked you abs so that when they show, they are just as big. Too many times I see very lean guys that have no abdominal muscles because they never work them.

As long as you give your body enough nutrition you wont suffer considerable muscle loss. Only high volumes of cardio would cause your body to lose some muscle. Anything up to 60 minutes a day should not do much.
