Yes, most effective training I have ever done. By far.....unless I am injured or cruising, DC R/P is the only thing I do.

i did Dc for a couple months. saw a significant gain in strength. a lot of people said i was to small to do DC but i stuck with it. i eventually stopped doign it a little while after school started. I needed to become a better, smarter, and more knowledgeable lifter. I wasnt eating enough to be on DC really. But i worked. I studies everything i could find on DC and asked questions at intense muscle and through email and came to understand it fairly well. im still a skinny little ***** though. lol.

doing a different workout now more track specific for middle distance runners. going for strength and not size.

Well rest-pausing is only a very small aspect of DC, if you are interested in doing DC training, you may want to go at IntenseMuscle.com - Powered by vBulletin and read a lot...

I am doing it for my first blast now, I'm finishing it (2month). I eated like a friggin monster...

Started at 180 (weight after the DNP), now I'm at 196 and a little fatter (1.5 inch more around the waist) and ALOT stronger...

I gained fat because of lot of cheating involved when my brother from europe came back, elseway I would have stayed as lean as before.

Anyway if you know how to have intensity then DC is amazing... But you really got to understand the principle of pushing yourself to the limit every single set, because you only have one set, then pushing yourself to the limit every single meal, because it's your only possibility to get that food in at that time, etc.. etc.. etc..

You can still do DC, gain muscle and lose bodyfat. All training allows that......the old bulk/cut mentality is pretty retarded in my mind (at least when taken to the extreme).

Utilize carb-cutoffs, cardio after training, but still lift heavy man.

Absolutely........you know when I eat carbs? Strictly surrounding my workouts and in the morning. Only exception is the day after squats....I eat a little more than.

From what I know about DC training it is supposed to be for intermediate/advanced trainees. The pauses and stretches are supposed to be quite intense. iwannaplaylock, from your stats you are probably still a beginner and more than likely not ready for DC.

Yup........besides the fact that he is 15 y/o. I wouldn't recommend any normal mortal that is under 21 do DC.

Im 16, and i fully understand the concepts behind DC training... Is it the lack of maturaty or just physicly not prepared? Because i have thought about it and well if i couldn't do DC i could maybe take some elements out of it.

e.g. Extreme Stretching, Stactic Sets and Rest pause for some of the heavier lifts

While i havent taken the full foray into DC yet, i do some of the stretching. I just havent had time to sit down and learn the ins and outs of DC yet, hopefully i can this week.

All of the above......it really comes down to intensity dude. You can understand it all you want, but at your age/training level/etc, the intensity isn't there. That isn't a knock on you, but you will understand what I am talking about sometime........the stretching should be incorporated into all routines, negs and statics are also important. At your age, not sure I would mess with rest/pause too much. IMO - you should add in stretching for a while and then slow incorporate negs and statics.

I forgot to chime in on this one. Rest/Pause is a great method. The routine I am currently doing involves rest/pausing. Its a little different than DC but its a rest/pause technique.
