Question Is it good to...

...Take a break once in a while.. like.. take a week off just from lifting... because ive been lifting for like... ever... every week.. every day except SAT/SUN... of course i do diff. muscles every day but today i just felt so exhausted.. it might of been because i played basketball before i lifted or.. because i didnt have much to eat... but yea.. could those be reasons? because i dropped weight on everything today (chest workout)

Yes, breaks are good. You usually come back stronger. You lift 5 days a week? That just isn't necessary unless you are on the Vitamin S.

i think there can be some exceptions to this JLo, not that i would ever really go against anything JLo says (since he is always putting out good info on BB cept his remarks here and there lol) But i workout 5 days week because....
mon
Legs squat etc..
tues.
bench (program)
bi's
wed
OFF
thurs
bench program
triceps/shoulders
Friday
Dead day and variations
delts
back
saturday
last day of week bench program that extends 7 weeks

some might strongly dis-agree w/ benching 3 times a week but this program really puts my numbers up when it comes to maxing and also reps in general and no im not on "vitamin S"

Resting is sometimes the best thing you can do. I recently went to the edge of burning out, paid for it with a few days where I felt absolutely drained and downright depressed.

Took 4 days off and I came back into the gym feeling great. Even broke a personal record.

Its like anything in life, if you dont take a break sometime you will only hurt yourself.

You should know when you start feeling jaded its time for a week off. I take em every 10-12 weeks.

I also take a couple extra days off when I have a **** workout, like today's. I've been over training, bad boy

i take a week off every three months......from diet and everything....works good for me, but i dont know how fundamentally sound that would be....i also change lifts every three months aside from a few core lifts
