If your tris are real sore give them another day of 2 to recover. If the tris haven't recovered enough yet you won't get max effort into your workout. I do tris and shoulders on chest day so there is no problem with enough recovery time.

i get that soemtimes, if it is just general soreness and i am not using those muscles in the workout then i just push through and it fades. i reckon you will be ok training your chest, see if it does have an effect, such not bein able to do as many reps or havin to lower the weight and if not just go for it.

Agreed! Makes no sense!

The point is you are telling him to work out the same muscle after it is not fully recovered - the tris (even though they only get hit indirectly w/ chest, they still get hit). That is just plain bad advice.

push/pull/legs - common routine for starters or when cruising......

push movements - bench, tri-pushdowns, military (basically - chest/shoulders/tris).......

pull movements - deads, curls, t-bars, etc (back/bis)

legs - pretty obvious........

Pretty much as it says.
Push exercises are when you are pushing the weight (bench press, skulls, shoulder press etc.)
Pull exercises (rows, bicep curls, chins etc.)
