Is it normal for the muscles in your lower back to feel really tight after you've done deadlifts?

The key to deadlifts and squats alike are to sink your hips and look up. This causes your back to be as straight as possible. I also like to concentrate on really keeping my glutes tense during deadlifts, it helps to achieve perfect form.
