hey everyone,
i've been lifting on and off for about 3 and a half years now, and only this last year have i been "more" dedicated.
there are a couple of things i would like to know
- i weigh 250-255(last time i checked) and it brings up the question do i need to lose that excess fat? i don't plan on being a body sculptor, and i know later on i'll be 260 with about 30-35% fat my question is is it imperative for me to lose the body fat that i have now
- I refuse to use any supplements, if anything i'll use vitamins but no protein, phosphates, or alternatives.

I know that i love the muscle mass that i have, but i don't know how far i want to go, any feedback and tips would be nice

hm... Well u dont really need to loose the excess fat but u should cause you look more ripped/toned, though if you did put on muscle it will be hard not to loose some excess weight because your matabolisim raises with it. If you did want to loose the fat fast you should fit in cardio into your routine. But why would u trust meh im a newbie xD

Need a bit more info here. You say 250-255, so what's your age and height? Do you have any goals e.g. conditioning to play sports, gain muscle mass, or fitness conditioning?

As for supplements, good nutrition, vitamins and lots of water are a start, but if you are serious about gaining muscle mass then a basic supplement like Glutamine (amino) is essential for recovery and protein (which you can get from meat & fish) conversion.

I agree you shouldn't go supplement mad but IMO whey's a great supplement...
multi vitamin's good too, atm I'm not using any supplements but as soon as I get to uni it's a super strict diet + workout schedule and for me whey and a good multi-vitamin'll be an integral part, I'd suggest you make them part of yours!
