Protein powder should not effect you other then to increase the amount of protein available to supplement your diet and exercise goals. If you are trying to build muscle, whey protein is great. Though at your age, I would try to get 90% of your protein through food, not supplements.

I personally dont lift if i know the sorenesss will effect another muscle group i have the next day. So i just simply work out another group that woudlnt be effected
