Default abs

How often are you supposed to workout your abs?
I read somewhere that as abs are involved in most every day activities they recover quicker and so you can do it every other day. Is this true or do you need to give them more time to recover?

There has been alot of time devoted to this "urban legend". Abs are no different then any other muscle in your body. Yes we use them everyday; but that does not mean the recovery time has anything to do with how often you work them. Take the time to read all that you can on routines, physiology, and muscle fibers. You will find that you can train abs as often as every other day or just once a week. Find out what works for you. As for me. I hit my abs once a week in the gym. I also take Taekwon Do 3 times a week so I have that additional work. Educate yourself on diet, nutrition, exercise, etc. so you can become your own "professional" trainer.

What he said...
When I was a teen I never had to work on my abs. El natural baby.
I usually hit them about 2-3 times a week. They used to be my best body part until I gave birth....
