Well, what type of routine are you doing now in the gym, as far as the days you train, sets, reps, weight, etc ??

Its only been 4 weeks too, have patience. Also be nice to see what your diet is like as well.

deadlifts, squats, bench, military, curls, and maybe some flys, although I dont know if they help with strength, and some cleans would be good too. You should check out: http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com/fo...thread.php?t=5
theres alot of good exercises there you could try out, and get some good info off of.

i'd say def use some power cleans/clean and press they are great sports exercises especially if you are a prop and have to lift those skinny guys up by thier britches

anything that works hams/glutes would be great too stiff-legged deadlift/deadlift etc.

What you're really wanting is a balanced routine then!
You should be working everything evenly.
Face down on the hack squat machine is good for power when scrummaging with you being a prop.
Use compound exercises for your legs ~ leg extensions will be useless for your rugby.
Stiff-legged deadlifts and/or Romanian deadlifts for your hamstrings.
