So If you do shadow-boxing for the speed, and strenght?
or just punching the punchingbag will you gain muscle mass?
I know some of those guyes work the iron. But I dont think all of them do, cuz they are fast and explosive.
shadow boxing for noticing weak areas in your footwork and defence when you throw punches, hence why you do it in front of a mirror.

you hit the heavy bag for endurance and strength building, helps to build up your punching muscles. You cant become a heavy puncher without punching

on the boxing forum i frequent the whole weights vs speed topic comes up twice a week, coming close to starting a sticky there lol. Pro boxers use the weights, 100m sprinters use weights, swimmers use weights... it helps their muscular development to supplement their training.

weight training can make you fast and explosive - a lot of martial artists do powerlifting and olympic lifting

I used to take taekwondo and i think it sux. you have to learn forms and stuff you dont use on the streets. I went into grappling instead, its way better.

you retard, its called a martial ART for a reason.... you learn more than just "how to be deadly" lmao. Yes, i must resist the urge to do Kata patterns in times of self defence....

if you want to get all hot and sweaty and wrestle with men, go for what tickles your fancy

i think you'd be the person to be suckered into adverts like this

I had a test-taikwondo lesson last week. Its more about the kicks then the punches. The guy who teaches taikwondo here is the 3rd- of the world ( Nebbe Chiric)
I prefer kickboxing more then Taikwondo.

I wrestle, and I take offense to that statement. Its the oldest form of any "martial art" And most fights end up on the ground. Why do you think just about every UFC fighter knows grappling? Oh yeah, because its probably the best ground defense/offense there is. Grats on being ignorant.

My dad used to take Shotokan...it aint' pretty, but it can be highly effective. I have a cousin that is a black belt in Kempo as well...

Seriously though, there is no "best fighting style"...the best fighting style takes aspects from many different disciplines...

Doing aggressive bench press will increase the amount of pushups you can do by a lot.

When doind bench, focus your energy in your chest and push with your chest and not your arms. When you finish the bench, go to some pec dec/flies or better yet, use a cable bench and do a similar fly motion. Those always jack up my pecs.
