Default abs help

im a 14 year old who started exercising about 2 to 3 months ago. i need help with my ab exercises. i dont like doing a lot of repetitions as i get bored while exercising. im looking for exercises that will set me on my way to getting a good, muscular stomach that dont require many repetitions. i have a pair of dumbbells, a mat and a makeshift bench. any help is appreciated.
thanks in advance.

Cardio and diet is the best thing to bring out your abs.

You will find out that not only is repetition required to build muscle..it is essential. Repetition=Build

what can I say..if you only did one sit up, and then youre done for the day. Not much accomplished there. I find that leg lifts, crunches and a good diet does the trick, but without you changing your attitude towards repetition, I doubt anything would help. Goodluck!

you wouldnt have to do as many reps if you had more equipment to use because you could do weighted excerises. but it sounds like you dont have much to work with so i think your stuck.

i dont mind doing up to 50 repetitions but somewhere around my 70th sit-up, i start thinking: 'my stomach still isn't hurting as much as it should be.. this is so not working.

we do this everyday before weightlifting practice. crunches non stop for 2 minutes. 2 minutes of twisting crunches. one side at a time so we do a total of 4 minutes for obliques. then do "6 inches" by holding your feet up 6 inches in the air for 20 seconds for 10-12 reps. you DEFINATELY are gonna have to do a good bit of reps to build. like nike says....just do it!

My coach always used to say 10 good crunches is better then 100 ****ty ones. Make sure to keep your abs squeezed when you crunch and try going slower too, really focus on the crunch and squeeze..Ive seen people try and rep tons out but with ****ty form they get hardly anything out of it.

Thumbs up Abs

You should look into purchasing a medicine ball it doesnt have to real heavy. You can do alot of workouts using a medicine ball. I know it is used everyday in the summer workout program for football that im in. If you get bored while working out trying listen to some music to get you ''pumped up'' it always seems to do the trick for me anyway. Some people just want it more that others too. Just dont quit or give up.
