Iwas talking to a former body builder about bicep workouts and he told me to lower my wight and increase the reps so i now do this with standing curls
40 pounds alltogether 1x30 reps 2x20 reps 3x15 reps 4x10 reps 5x10 reps then i do isolation curls 1x10 reps 2x5 reps 3x5 reps then i do 2 sets of ten cheat curls i have really good form exept on cheat curls. I was wondering if i am doing any good with this workout or should i try somthing else. |

I don't think that light weight will make you grow. Definition yes, but growth no. You need heave weight with lox reps. I would say no more than 8 reps but more like 6. Do 4x6 and 4x8 on everything and I think it will work. Also, cheat curls are good for me.

you dont get defined from doing high rep stuff, unless its literally hundreds of reps, an many exercises - then it would because it would be closer to cardio - cardio and reducing calories being the best way to get defined
theres far too many sets in that workout - you could possibly have 10 sets tops if your biceps were a weak point an you wanted to do some workouts solely for them - normally just a couple of sets would do |

If you are doing a 5 day split with biceps once a week, I don't think that a couple of sets will do. If you are working biceps three days a week, I see your point. I do biceps on friday and I do at least 16 sets with medium to heavy weight.
