Default Water weight?

Hey everyone ive been using cell-tech Creatine for about 10 days now and went from around 130 to 134.2 and have noticed alot of strength increase and size. Although when i got knocked up a wieght class in wrestling(130 to 135) my coach was pretty mad n told me that im just gaining water wieght im not lifting hard enough for it 2 be muscle but i kno i gained size in my pecs, quads and other muscles and there alot stronger now. i have been lifting hard also i think its just because he wont have me at 130 for a novice tourney coming up or did i really just gain water weight? Any help would be appreciated.

Since your taking creatine its most likely water weight, I'm not familiar with wresting but is there a specific time for weigh in if so then do stairs for 20mins before the weigh in to drop the extra water or as much as you can.

Yeep he's right.. you gained 100% water.

That's a big part of what creatine does... it's a "Cell Volumizer". It will cause all your muscles to suck up water, thus bringing up your size, and helping to increase strength through a mechanicaly improved contraction.

Yes you are stronger, mostly do the cell volumizing effects.. and the increased availablity of atp... But no you haven't gained muscle, you just packed them full of water, sort of like blowing up a balloon.... this effect is only temporary and will quickly dimish if you cycle off creatine.

sure creatine should allow you to potentially gain just a fraction quicker then you are already capable of... but it takes a long time, just like it regularly does. Plus if weight gain is an issue, you ain't going to be able to gain very much at all.

To build muscle you need to eat above your bmr, (basal metabolic rate)... Once you figure how much you need to be eating, you then adjust that buy eating more food until you average about .5 pound increase in body weight per week...

So theoretically in 10 weeks you'll put on 5 pounds... a good portion muscle and a good portion fat...

Then you'd either continue to bulk like that, until you feel you have gained to much fat, and it's time to cut... at which point you would lower you calories until your loosing on average 1 pound a week.

Obviously, you won't be able to add any muscle if you stay at the 130 weight class.. best you can hope to do is add strength.

Well like I said, you ain't going to gain any muscle unless you eat to gain muscle.. so I read up as much as you can around her on bulking... and training programs.

Hey man im practically the same size as you from what you said, Ive been weighing in from 135 to 140 this year. Im also around your height, little shorter..5 6' lol. But since the creatine is putting on water weight the best way to drop it is cardio like the others said. Just burn off the water weight by running. If you need to make 130 do a bit of running a few days before the match to get below 130(so you can have a good meal and not be de hydrated) GL.( oh and 10 good spits is one tenth of a pound)

creatine hasn't been studied that much at all, some ppl say they gain muscle while others dont gain any, but gain fat instead... creatine seems to have a really good effect on massive body builders..

they will fade off but your supposed to use the time you are on creatine to lift heavy eat right and gain muscle so that when you cycle off the creatine will wear off and you will get weaker from when you were on it, but the increase in muscle should be more than if you trained with out creatine.

If you do some more searching around here, you can learn a lot more about creatine.. I'll try to make this plan and simple though.

Creatine isn't a hormone or steroid.. it won't magically build muscle mass.

Creatine is naturally in the food your eat, and is even produced in your body.

Supplementing creatine, just gives you more of what you naturally use anyway.. but it also causes your body to retain alot of water weight... inflating your muscle volume with water.. helping to increase strength. Creatine also directly increases endurance via, quicker and more proficient ATP renewal.. Used to fuel musclar contractions at a cellular level.

None of the above related directly to muscle mass.... However, if you have a stronger contraction, and the ability to push a few more reps due to higher endurance.. then you also have the ability to have a better workout, that will demand that your body grow stronger then it would normally grow...

So over time, you can gain muscle slightly faster then you would without creatine... but that's it... if your were 130, and your 135 now... It's fairly safe to say that at least 4.5 to all 5 pounds is water. Besides, if you've been holding 130 pounds for a long time now, first thing you need to do to grow muscle is to eat more..

Eating is the key to everything.. creatine won't help you at all, unless you eat to support growth.
