Default Sup

Hey guys, i'm 16, 5'9, and about 180 lbs.
I know I'm in bad shape, thats why I'm here.
I'm very headstrong and once I am interested in something I can run with it, but I can't seem to stay with exercising regularly.
I guess I just need some help with understanding the basics and encouragement.
I want to get to about 150-160 with muscle, I am decently muscular, but I can honestly say, I am fat.
One of the things that contribute to this is I have a hypo-thyroid, causes a slow metabolism.
This is another obstacle to cross.
Any help would be very much apreciated, maybe helping with a diet or a workout routine. I have limited equipment, a bench, a curl bar with about maybe 70 lbs of possible weight, ab slide, and two 10 lbs dumbells.

Hey ... well welcome to the board.. Do a few searches.. read up a lot.. and its all about trial and error and what works well with your body. Having that thyroid problem, i would contact your doctor and get a diet from him. my mom has that problem and with a clean diet and a workout routine... she has been very successful.

start some cario.. bike riding.. running.. tae bo.. whatever it takes to get your heart pumping.. and doing some wieghts if you have access to a gym.

CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR FIRST..

GOOD LUCK.. KEEP US POSTED.

I've already consulted my doctor, gone to a nutritionist etc.
They told me that I can use a diet just like anyone else, as long as I take the medication they provided, which I do.

Use the search bar for pretty much anything you can think of. Welcome to the board, and search for some routines if you're lost.

Arrow Most likely already know...

Youve probably read this a thousand times, but if you have smaller meals 6-7 times a day, over a long period of time your body will actually increase your motaolism(i dont know if thats true for your condition though )

As far as being motivated and headstrong, 75% of the people on here are, myself included, just remember it couldent hurt to try and that quote about standing on giants shoulders...Think about it.
