Default Looking for serious feedback please.

Well I see a lot of kids my age(15-16) from the boards posting their maxes and such..some benches are lower then mine some are a lot higher. But I have a question about squat. Most seem to be around the 200 to low 300s. This quarter(for school) I squated 385. Now these are legit, we have chairs we have to touch that are parallel and our teacher watches us. Ive been lifting for about 3 years, this last year really hard. I also play football and wrestle. Im not bragging, but rather just wondering if you all think im full of **** or if that would be around right for what ive been doing. No way to really ask this without sounding like im bragging though I guess..so I can just hope youll understand what im asking. Thanks.

your not asking a real question, but if you want some feedback then that is good for your age.....however, your just a kid, and how much you lift doesn't mean Shlt in the sports world, so who cares. If your a horrible athlete how much you lift doesn't matter!!! But keep it up, and if your looking to get a bj from someone on hear because you can squat 1000 lbs. not going to happen!

juggalo24 has a spectacular aura about
Default Squat

I think most younger people can't lift heavy weights on squat because they have no shoulder muscle to support the weight. I remember in school all the basketball players would put towels on their shoulders and complain about the pain, doing about 150.

All the football players just laughed. As far as form goes, we had a strap on the squat tower that we had to go down and hit. Make sure you dont go for to much to impress anyone.

I tried competing with the big offensive lineman in 10th grade, when I weighed 100 pounds less than them. I tried to hit the 450 mark, and something blew out in my back, and I still have problems with my back going out sometime.

don't start comparing football and basketball players because i have seen basketball players that lift more then most football players with ease. and in highschool if your an athlete at all you play both football and basketball....punk

Im really lifting hard since Id really like to try and get into the 1000 lbs. club by the end of the year. A few kids in my class have done it so far(the ones who have all had their growth spurts and are the older ones in the grade) and I think itd be a nice mark in my training. My bench and clean are a little lacking at the moment but im hoping to improve them by the end of school. Thanks again for the input.

Edit: Heh. I wish our basketball could do that. Our basketball team sucks. Its unfortunate. Our school really centers around football. Usually if you do football you wrestle too, since the coaches are the same. We were the AA Eastern Conf. Champs. this year. Shoulda gone to states but we got dicked by power points because we lost to a AAA school.

my buddy who is a freshmen and started varsity on offensive line squatted about 390 and deadlifted 400 and the thing that confuses me is that he had not lifted for more than 6 weeks when he did that...i know it sounds crazy

lol whats the point in posting that?? your saying that a few people in your class, at 15-16 years old, can squat 1000lbs to par - theres nobody in history that has done that - i think mark henry squatted a deep 943lbs in high school, but hes 400+ and has rediculous genes - the record squat for any age is only 1203lbs last time i checked

All maxes totaled = 1000 lbs or above is what im talking about. Seriously man that would just be ridiculous, and although I did not say exactly what I was talking about I think it would have been safe to assume I wasnt trying to reach a 1k + squat in 4 months, nor was I talking about 1k squats at all. Not at my size and height.

oh sh*t right, just with you talking of squat, at 385 - which i thought was pound at first, then you said 1000lbs after someone had talked about squatting 1000, so i thought you was saying kg which would be 847lbs - yes it would be completely rediculous

well then, i dont know what the talk of it not being a real question was about, seems like a fair question to me - i wouldnt say your lying about that, would have no reason to think so
