Default for or against meat?

hi, soooo sorry if this topic has been talked bout already. mods can delete it if it has been! ty

so we had a heated discussion in my philosophy class today whether eating meat is right or wrong!!

the argument is based on a article that was clearly baised. it suggested that eating meat was selfish, cruel and that americans benefits heavely in terms of selling meat!!

so i was just wondering what you guys think as bodybuilders whereas meat is most vital component!!

Don't become brainwashed by your liberal college professors like the majority of college students. Develop your own opinion.

if vegetarians want to be vegetarians then fine by me. but when they go out and judge people and try and belittle them for eating meat is when i get pissed off. humans are carnivors and always have been, you are denying your body of nutrients it needs to be healthy. go ahead and have a shot of wheatgrass, ill have a 10oz rib eye. im going to cock punch the next vegan to beak me for killing wild animals and eating their carcass.

on the other hand you shouldnt waste meat either... every man should at least once kill something he is going to eat, garuanteed you will not waste it.

For meat for sure. I love most all meats. The only thing I get a little grossed out eating is fish at times. But that's just because I think they are dirty. And I don't even really know why I think that. But, I couldn't eat a whole fish with the head on it like they serve it some times. That would just gross me out, with the eyes and stuff....yuck. BUT, on the other hand....I was in Maine last week for work and you can bet I ate a full lobster! That I have no problem with. No problem with crab legs or shrimp either. And I can eat eggs knowing they should be chickens. I can eat steaks knowing they used to be cows. I can eat pork chops knowing they may have been someone's pet pig at one time. I was raised on meat. I feed my children meat. I can't eat deer meat, but it's really just because I don't like the taste/texture. But I don't hold it against people that like to hunt. But I do agree that the meat should not be wasted. If you're going to hunt I think you should use as much of the animal as you can. I'm not very religious, but if God made all creatures and things....I don't think he would have made animals edible if they weren't meant to be eaten????

i love how these liberal pu$$y professors always have some sort of conspiracy that the "evi" US is somehow benefiting "heavily" by bestowing pain and suffering among others. i bet you 9 out of 10 of those people who were railing against eating meat and how cruel it is, went home and had chicken or pork or steak. i say that cause i know they are hyprocritical, pieces of dog sh!t

If you hunt for sport, it's wrong in my eyes, but if you eat and use what you kill I dont see an issue what so ever.

I went hunting with my brother in law once. We had shotguns and were supposed to be Quail hunting (yummy), but with no Quail in site that day, he starting going after Jack Rabbits. So he told me to watch out, he'd flush them my way. So he shuffled some bushes and out popped 2 of them running past me, I took aim quickly and (BOOOM!) I about blew off litle Bugs Bunny's head. So then my brother in law proceeds to pick it up and hang it from a tree and he used the poor dead rabbit for target practice.
I think after a few shots the thing was in about 50 pieces scattered over the field.

----> Now that is some wrong sh!t right there. I was like "What the fvck man?" and he goes on to tell me how the rabbits have disease and cysts on their backs and they cannot be eaten as a result. SO WHY DID WE SHOOT THEM THEN? "For fun".......thats not fun, thats inhumane! Shoot some fvcken beer cans for fun.

The was the first and last time we went hunting.

Love meat - and have the same view on hunting as BIg Guns. I think its a natural way of life that was intended, we man, we hunt, we eat.

Yup.

This topic makes me chuckle a bit because there was a vegetarian info booth set up at my school today and they were bashing meat but offering regular bagels with cream cheese for free to people who stopped to listen. This blew my mind because they are bashing meat saying it is un-healthy while offering simple carbs with fat spread on top of it?

F**kin hypocrites.

Awww, but no animals were harmed making that bagel and cream cheese.

I personally do not hunt, but I have no issue with guys and gals who do it to feed themselves and/or their families. Just killing it and leaving it lay and taking home the trophy rack - yeah, I got a bit of an issue with wasting like that.

But in whole, I have a freezer full of steak, chicken, fish, etc., and I will continue to enjoy same. Fire up the grill, man!
