I'm actually really excited about this because it is finally over the American Dollar! Woohoo! I just recently bought a car, so I think I'll do most of my serious shopping like for a Supercharger and Body Kit and stuff in the states. It's awesome that their basically the same now. With luck we will go over!!

I doubt it will stay like this for very long. I give it a month. So many Cakers and going down to the US for shopping. I may do the same.

I hope it will last a while, it's been coming for a long time. After that many years of being ripped off we should get quite a few in return. Your right about the cost of things, how corporations here raise the prices. They are now complaining it will make tons of Canadians go shop down there and so is bad for our economy.. DUH! LOWER YOUR PRICES JERKS!

ya ive heard of guys where i live buying ford half tons for 10-15 grand cheaper in the states and getting them shipped up for free. im in the midst of buying a new ford and im giving the sales man a tough time.. hes already lowered the price on the truck i want by 4 grand but i wont buy it untill at least 7 grand under tag price or else ill get one shipped in.

Yes the AUD is getting very close to the US dollar.. 92c. I can't wait till we get even.

I trade currency, so I don't care what country/region's money goes up, as long as I get paid.

On a side note, I'm not touching Canadian money...

Having a high dollar has its up and downs.

But I do like the better rates. I don't know if it will stay very long (I think its a penny below USD now), especially considering the fact the morons up here aren't lowering their prices and they're truly gouging us. Everyone shifts the blame, but nobody does anything and there is CERTAINLY surplus money being made on top of their regular profits.

So I say **** it, let your voice be heard and either make the trip to Buffalo (or local US city near you) or buy stuff online. It's funny, even the BANKS weren't giving us the full value as stated by the market.
