I just started taking Lexapro last week and it is already helping a little bit. But it seems like I am more stressed in the morning and start feeling better in the afternoon. Is this how it starts working in some people? I have some Xanax too and sometimes take a half when I feel like I need. I'm hoping there are some people who DON'T have a really bad experience getting off of it. Is there anyone who did not have a lot of problems? I had a bad experience with Zoloft so I was scared to start another drug. Any advice?
Please help! |

I take a generic citalopram, and if i stress too high or anxiety attack, i have a clonazepam that is anti-convulsive that i use. works great for me. ask your doctor what he thinks.

I hate the kicks doctors get for perscribing meds. I personally havent taken my medications for 2 months, and only take the clonazepam when i feel it is necesarry, which has been once in 2 months. I was very apprehensive to start the drugs, and still dont like the idea of them, but they do work is my point in the first post i made.

Cammo's right, stay off that stuff!!! I was faced with taking that stuff also...but the more I read the more I realized the side effect were worse than the actually symptoms. this is what I did and it worked for me. Clean diet ...clean clean clean...as close to nature as possible. avoid anything with excessive manmade ingredients. Eat fruits, vegetables. Dont eat procesed meat or cheeses or manmade butter spreads. go with the real thing If you have to have it. ..read the ingredient labels. STAY AWAY FROM FAST FOOD! Drink water water water. Stay away from caffiene...AND decaffinated or any type of soda. DRINK WATER. You have to flush all the un-naturals out. Again dont drink anything that has excessive manmade ingrdients.....example ...fruit juice...dont drink it unless you sqeezed it fresh from the fruit. take your vitamins...take multi-vitamin...and b-complex Be vigalant about what you put in to your body!!! Every single thing that you put in acts and reacts with your brain. 45-60 days to level back out completely..but you'll feel like a different person in a couple weeks. That doesn't mean go back to old habits...cause you'd ony be asking for the problem to resurface. You would be much better off taking this route FIRST! Dont trust those pills. You'll regret it!!!!

Excellent post! I could give you a URL of a couple of forums that are filled with thousands of people that have been or still are suffering as a result of being messed up on that junk! Last edited by Cammo; 04-10-2007 at 07:34 PM. |

You should look for natural treatment of asthma. I read a book called asthma free naturally as written by Patrick McKeown. That this book is available online and details the Buteyko breathing method for asthma. He teaches Buteyko Breathing Clinic and many other methods. Have a look at Asthma Care Ireland- Featured on RTE and TV3, Buteyko Clinics and books You would surely be benefited.
