Haha. Bill Clinton was not a great leader. He was a redneck and he cheated on his wife. His foreign policy was weak and he tended to waffle on a lot of issues. That being said, the job he did when in office was miles above our current president. george w is a self serving, war mongering scumbag and I hope he dies in a fiery car wreck.
Its really sad that this country hasnt had a great leader in over 35 years.

Interestingly enough, there is a documentary that just came out called "Death of a President-The assasination of George Bush" The fictional documentary premiered in 2006. The film uses archive footage, actors, and computer effects to portray an assassination of President Bush and the aftermath after. I think I am going to rent it and check it out, sounds interesting to say the least Last edited by BiggerGuns=LongerDrives; 04-11-2007 at 10:13 AM. |

I love this argument. I am of the same mindset as BUFFLURP. I dont love bush but i dont hate him either. I think that anyone who says bush lied is totally off base. Every country on the UN security counsil had intelligence that saddam had WMDs. Spain, Italy, Russia, France, you name the country and their intelligence was the same as the US's. They all were convinced they had it. The UN passed 17 resolutions since the 90s threatening military action and of course none of them did anything. Bush came in and did actually put some teeth into the last resolution. Yea, the intelligence was wrong. there were no WMDs but bush didnt lie. and if you think he did then all the other countries lied too. or how about this quote
"Earlier today, I ordered America's armed forces to strike military and security targets in Iraq. They are joined by British forces. Their mission is to attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors." that was bill clinton making that speech. dont believe me? December 16th 1998. Transcript: President Clinton explains Iraq strike - December 16, 1998 sound very similar to what you heard bush saying in the lead up to the world. how about this? "In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security. " Hiliary Clinton October 10, 2002. Floor Speech of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton on S.J. Res. 45, A Resolution to Authorize the Use of<br>United States Armed Forces Against Iraq who said this? "Iraq's weapons of mass destruction pose a real and grave threat to the U.S" - John Kerry 2002. should i go on? cause there is a ALOT more democrat quotes i can bring up I used to vote democrat all the time. Statements like that are the reason i now find it harder and harder to vote democrat. When public opinon was behind the war effort the democrats were all for going to war. as soon as public opinion shifts they shift too. the govern based on polls. i think bush said something during the Republican national convention in 2004. "You may not agree with me. but at least you know where i stand". that is very true. i give the guy credit for having conviction and passionate for what he thinks is right no matter what the country says. like i said earlier i dont love him as a president but i dont hate him either. to say he lied is really not true (unless you want to say everyone else lied too). i dont really see any great candidates yet in 2008. i have said it before and i will say it again. HC would be an absolute train wreck. and yes i would rather bush be in charge than her. i would rather anyone be president than her.
