It's definatly not a game. Those who talk about it as such obviously have no clue what it's about. the nostalgia is lost once you encounter it. I've been fortunate in my military career not to have seen combat but I have no illusions of granduer about it.

Not on anybody's side, but since when wars are considered "wins" by the number of people lost. With war, both sides lose some.

That's what they were called at the time, it's historically accurate. Sorry if your feelings got hurt. I'm sure the Vietnam vets feel better now that we're calling the ones that shot off thier friends head Vietnamese instead of gooks. The Germans in WWII were Krauts and the Japanese we fought against were Japs.

Well, I just brought up because i thought it was used wrong because i thought it was used for Korean. Now that you said that, what happened in the past is their business. You got no business using derogatory terms against them. No matter what it was called before, if it's a derogatory term, it's not okay to call them that again. Just like it's not okay to say the N word. Just my 2 cents.

It's just my mentality not to forget those who have fallen in the past. With that also comes not forgetting who they fought against. I'm not racist and I don't think all Vietnamese are gooks, just the ones that fought against our fallen brotherin. If that offends some people then so be it.

I see your point. I have nothing against you, i just wanted to bring up a point that, sometimes we come to hate the enemy soldiers. But they're only soldiers, they fight to protect their country just like U.S soldiers did. They fight for hte ideas that their leaders want to protect. I mean in battle, you shoot, you kill because that's what ur trained for, and u must do what is necessary to survive and carry out the mission. Outside of battle, they're all human beings. Thats why i didn't think it was cool to use names.
