Gasoline shortage in Ontario

An Ontario refinery fire has left gas stations with dry tanks and higher prices.

Hundreds of Esso gas stations in Southwestern Ontario have run out of gas.

This is really scary.

A few of the competators have recently run out of gas too.

Looks like I may soon have to start walking/running for means of transportation.

i so far have no problem getting gas. but this shows just how ill prepaired we are. just one refinery fire and a short lived CN strike just about crippled this city.

I noticed 3 stations in my area out today. It's been almost a week since that fire. You're not that far away from me either.

most of the gas stations that i have heard ran out of gas in the downtown area. i have yet to see one in our area.

today was the first in seen in my area...Im a bit North of you..close to Wonderland...

$2.60 a gallon.

It sucks.

Wait. I just realized that you guys go by liters and we go by gallons.
So i'm really not sure how that compares.

I paid $2.15 for regular per gallon

not bad for jersey huh!

but gas is going up and I fill up a big old tank about 3-4 times a week!

Yep, so 1US Gal is 3.8L, so in Michigan you're paying $.68/L which is like $.80/L cdn. That's not bad at all. I always hear the americans complaining about gas but it's much cheaper there. We are around .95/L here, when gas was at it's highest last year we were paying $1.50+cdn/L, equivalent to you yanks paying $4.88+ US/gallon.

Gas in Michigan was around $2 a gallon within the last month so its went up 30%. it did it basically in a matter of about 3 days too.

in vancouver, bc gas was just a little over $1.00/L tonight as i got off work

That's pretty interesting....everyone is just out to get money. It's hard to find companies or politicians that actually have good intentions as a 1st priority money as a 2nd. Everyone is just out to get rich and it doesn't matter who suffers what or when. I hate politics.
