An Ontario refinery fire has left gas stations with dry tanks and higher prices.
Hundreds of Esso gas stations in Southwestern Ontario have run out of gas. This is really scary. A few of the competators have recently run out of gas too. Looks like I may soon have to start walking/running for means of transportation.

I noticed 3 stations in my area out today. It's been almost a week since that fire. You're not that far away from me either.

Yep, so 1US Gal is 3.8L, so in Michigan you're paying $.68/L which is like $.80/L cdn. That's not bad at all. I always hear the americans complaining about gas but it's much cheaper there. We are around .95/L here, when gas was at it's highest last year we were paying $1.50+cdn/L, equivalent to you yanks paying $4.88+ US/gallon.

Gas in Michigan was around $2 a gallon within the last month so its went up 30%. it did it basically in a matter of about 3 days too.
