Default My dad... prayers please
Hey guys, my dad had been having pain in his chest he is now 46 years old, he has been smoking for about 20 i believe, and he went to the doctors today to have a camera put down his throat to see what was goin on, the news didnt come out too good, he has cancer in his esophogas *SP* they are going to go in tomorrow again to see if it has spread and if thats the only place it is... now i know chemo *SP* can be done to get rid of this and some people come away from cancer but if you could please just put him in your prayers his name is Dave, i would greatly appreciate it. My mom and him got divorced when i was 5 i am now 17, but we still see eachother about 1 or 2 times a month (it used to be every other when i was little). So please just say a prayer

I think that must be most peoples greatest fear someone you love getting cancer, i cant imagine the pain your going through mate, be praying for you both and keep us updated.

Thanks guys I really appreciate it, he goes in today at 3pm Central time (im in the us) so to give you a time frame its 7:45 now so in about 7 hours they'll start.. i'll keep you guys posted, thanks again.

Just came across this thread as well, needless to say, my sister battled cancer not that long ago and is in remission as of right now. Glockwork, if you're interested, there's some really medical advice that was given to me personally that I would not mind offering you whatsoever, feel free to contact me if you're interested. I know that it was hard coping with the situation when my sister got sick but we made it through God willingly and it's going to be okay. Time heals everything, you just have to buckle down and get your priorities straight and deal with the situation at hand, all else can wait. Hope it all turns out great for your father, your family and yourself and hopefully he's dropped the nasty, not to mention unintelligent habit of smoking by now. I know my sister has

I had skin cancer about 5 years ago. Luckily we caught it early seeing as in how im still young. So i cant even imagine how your feeling. Hopefully you guys caught it early enough

ok, well some wanted updates and im not happy to say it but, things aren't looking good, he met w/ the doctors today and gave him his results on his scanning, the tumor (caner) was the szie of about a pingpong ball... He hasn't actually told me yet, but from what i heard it has most likely already spread making it a LOT harder to get rid of, i read a txt he sent my sister and he said he was very confused and scared, i feel terrible for him i just dont know what to do. If you guys could please say a prayer for my whole family and my father we are going to be going through a very rough time. I'm not sure if they are even going to try chemo and radiation or what i havent talked to him yet, and idk to what extent it has spread and if it is even worth it, or how much time he has left i just really dont know what to do. I thank you that have prayed but please keep him in yours that it is not very painful and easy on us all please!
