Default security around house advice needed
So this morning my moms car gets cleaned out pretty much of any money she had sometime during the night was actually kind of wierd when she told me cuz nothing ever has happend like this in 17 years except for those wierdos who knocked down our mailbox and my basketball hoop sometime during the night(dirty bastards). SO i was wondering whats somethine that would deter someone from just going on your driveway trying to get into your car????Hell i want them to come back any good ideas on how to bait them back????

Gain 100lbs and sleep in the car, no one would come near it then

Car alarm, motion sensor lights and a dog are 3 things off the top of my head.

i wish i had a dog but mom doesn' like animals <_<. motion sensor lights is i guess the only real solution but...are these lights really really bright? looking for something that will shine all the way down my driveway which is about 40-60 feet

Yeah you can get some bright ones. Just a sensor attatched to a bigass floodlight. Get more than 1 if you need it.

but really though....car alarm, motion lights. maybe next time he comes you can trick him to putting on an electric dog collar and he'll shock him self on the electric fence when he tries to leave

haha ya thats what i wanted to do my tipman is full auto and if i turn velocity all the way up its gonna hurt so bad.... so i want it to put it to good use only thing is both my bottles are out of C02

haha who cares if it hurts!!! the d-bags are stealing your personal property!!! you cant get in trouble for shooting someone with a paintball gun who's stealing out of your car...and if you did get in trouble all you have to say is you thought they were a threat to your saftey and you wont get in trouble...i say take your gun and ravage em if ya see em again...about that CO2...FILL EM UP!!!!!! lol

First, I doubt the same chit-heads will be coming back. Second, get a car alarm and motion lights as others suggested. Watching guard every night with a paint ball gun probably isn't going to work unless you have no life and don't sleep.

From the Police perspective:
You have the right to protect your property with lights, alarms, etc. I too believe that a dog, hell even geese, make great alarms. A dog is the best protection for your house. Thieves do not want to enter a house with a barking dog!
As far as protecting your property in a vehicle, don't leave anything in it! That is as simple as it gets. Here in my county there have been a rash of purses, cell phones, laptops, etc. being stolen right out of unlocked cars. DUH! If you leave things of value in plain sight, you are asking for problems. If you want to get them back, I like the whole camera/hard drive deal. That is what prosecutors call Evidence. But, make sure the camera provides clear images that can be blown up.

i had heard this before as well...i also heard one time a criminal tried to crawl down someones chimney and was severly burned and sued the home owners and won by some crazy stretch of imagination
