Otherwise tuff sh*t you aint gonna live forever brother. DO NOT let pot lead you down a path you dont want to go. Despite what some people may say, marijuanna IS addictive, both physically and mentally, and it DOES wreck lives.

Furthermore, dont think that you can live the way you want to live, and still hang around your buddies and be cool.....Everyone's different I understand, but IMHO and my experience, it dont work.

Who knows, perhaps even down the road, one day one of those people will walk up to you and say...."You know what man, you were right, a few months after you split I realized there's more to life then getting high.....you changed my life....Thank You"

Best of Luck in whatever you want to achieve in the time you have on this planet!

Couldn't have said it better myself! Great post!

I have had serious issues with drugs in the past and more than anything, I wish I had never touched them...They will ruin your life and if you are on them for long enough you can stop like I did and still have long-standing issues. I have anxiety, depression, and insomnia that I am not sure will ever go away. I have had many friends die and I was the type of person that never thought all of those things would happen to me. "Those types of things only happen to people in movies or after-school specials" I would tell myself, but they are real! People die and people are scarred for life from drugs! Plain and simple...

I am glad you have found lifting and training! They have done more for me than any prescription, therapy, or rehab ever could! I emplore you to look at your self seriously before considering gear because it is indeed treading in the same realm as drugs in the more traditional sense...

I was in the same exact boat man... Im friends with everyone and alot of people smoke out everyday.. I never use to but then I started with all them... It got outta control.

Dont ditch your friends. The close ones are like family to me... But I wouldnt hang out with them whenever their on it or possess it. Not worth it. I would try to get them to quit if possible.

I can still give a horrifying gun though. #Cough#...

You shouldnt necesarily kick them to the curb, but you need to not be afraid to follow your own path. Life has its way of keeping the worthwhile friends connected.

I had this problem. I had a really close group of friends since i was about 12, we did everything together. Slowly one by one they all started smoking week and then shrooms, acid and finally coke. i started going this way. i was about 14 or 15 My life went to sh1t. i was either permanently high or drunk, and i was young.

Eventually, when i was 16, my parents found out. Thanks to them i realized what had gone wrong. I started to ditch my "friends". I started going to the gym to avoid them. That is what got me into this.

i ditched them. i've made new friends. My old lot are now so fvcked up that they dont even remember to eat.

i'm happier.

DITCH THEM

I have some friends that smoke and drink all the time...Ill drink every now and then if there is a reason to but they just drink to do it, they think that it is what you are supposed to do when you are in college...I already went through that stage about 2 years ago...So I hang out with them if if they decide they want to party and I dont want to then I have another group of friends I hang out with that are into lifting and stuff...I always had 2 groups of friends in high school too

In a nutshell, hell no you shouldnt. There your friends for a reason, becuase you have things in common cause you guys get along, dont let something take over that. Drugs are a problem, but they CAN be consumed responsibiliy, regardless of what the gov tells you. The main way i would choose who you should stick with and who you shouldnt is are there offering you drugs? If they are thats ok there your friend they wanna share, but what they SHOULD be doing is respecting your decision not to use them yourself. Its the ones that keep pushing you to do a line that you need to get rid of cause there no good for you. Just because they take drugs does not mean there a drop kick, it doesnt mean that there an addict or that they will take over there lives, altho sometimes this does happen. Just go with the flow, you should be able to 'feel' the friends to keep and the friends to go.

Although this is gona seem usless, i think you have made up your mind. These people are a bad influence... And all i can do is back you on it ... they are...

If you dont have an interest in drugs, then dont do them!!!!

What you have to understand that any psycho/physio-altering substances (including alcohol) can potentially destroy lives. Know your limits.
