I haven't heard that, I know 21 people were arrested so that suggests perhaps each individual planned to blow up a plan each there's a Scotland yard press conference in about 5-10 mins so that will reveal more

I am sure most of the world's "Terrorist" agencies are sitting very uncomfortably today. What with their panties in such a bunch! Way to go MI5! Wonder what the FBI, CIA, and Homeland security are doing today

new scare...new laws.. great timing!

tony blair is under great pressure for his lack of support for a cease fire in lebanon, petrol prices, interest rates bankrupting hundreds of thousands... i know what we need! A bomb scare!!!

i'm watching the middle pages of the newspapers for new terror laws or an introduction of a new tax.

Ah the old "kick start the economy and tax the citizenry" form of economics! Hey, didn't we start that in this country?

My mom called me on my way in to work to drop the news. I don't watch the news so early. She is in a panic, as my niece/nephew come home from vacation tomorrow. They are in the states, but when you hear these things you still panic.

Hope everyone out there is safe!!!

I shouldn't worry too much, apparently the plans weren't even for soon - they're purposefully using the word "imminent" to scare the public so they can get new laws passed and take away our freedoms one by one

edit: lol went on a bit there - my point was that the plans weren't even to do it soon

Our freedoms, or the 'freedoms' of potential terrorists, they already reduced their holding time to 90 days didnt they?

The whole government is corrupt, frankly Blair is Bush's biatch. That footage of them at the UN conference which showed how Bush was forcefully talking to Blair and Blair pretty much keeled over. Blair is weak, we (U.K) need a government that as far more independent and space our selves away from America a little, and not be the silent partner in their global regimes.

I see your point, new laws may help to combat terrorism, but most of the ideas put forward by the UK government serve only to restrict our freedom - measures such as ID cards will not make you any more free

Unfortunately I have to agree, I hate to say it but it seems that's the way it will always be

I totally agree, Blair does seem to bend over and take it - the thing that really annoys me is that he's more intelligent than Bush yet he still sells the same rubbish!
IMO we do need to distance ourselves from america a little (okay a lot) more but we're by no means a silent partner - we've sent troops and resources to help in their Iraq war as well as in Afghanistan, we're now being targeted more than ever

IMO they're left wing where they should be right and right where they should be left

on the one hand, ethnic minorities in my local area benefit from subsidised housing (my old house is currently worth £205,000 yet an asian can buy the same house for £130,000 - yes an asian! In the UK an asian supposedly has the same rights as a white person, they can access the same jobs + education - why should they be able to buy a house for less?!)

another example :http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...s/Picture3.jpg

on the other hand, the government backed Huntingdon Life Sciences as it creates hundreds of jobs (self serving) even though it has never managed to meet any MINIMUM standards for animal care!

how retarded is this now... all hand luggage has to be stored in the hold.

$250,000 violin....in the hold
laptop PC, in the hold

if they get damaged your allowed $50 re-imbursment....

one twat on tv was saying how your allowed to take on anything you buy in duty free area including MP3's and PSP's.... except you'll have no music on it and you wont be allowed to use them on the return journey.

if you have a valuable item you dont want to risk placing in the hold, consider buying another one on the other side.

what a load of twats.... yet again the muslims fanaticals drag our society down one notch.

and people wonder why racism is on the uprise?
