Angry Uneven skin tone- red marks left after acne

I thought this might be a good forum to ask this on because bodybuilders are into looking their best.

I had bad skin as a teenager. Now its clear but I got a lot of red marks (they are flat) left where I use to be broken out. (to the older people) If any of you were in the same boat as me, did they eventually go away? I've had them for 4 years. I'm using a glycolic face wash and vitamin c serum which my derm. recommended to me.

ro-accutane is the best drug for acne, i was prescribed this by my doctor as all other drugs/dermal creams were not working.

expensive and potentially damaging to the liver/kidneys so i had a blood work done every quarter

My skin is pretty clear now. I think its because im getting older. I still get a pimple but its like one or two a week, which I can live with. The red marks are killer. Because I can close my eyes and feel my skin and it feels great. But when I open my eyes it looks like ****. Its just depressing.

picking spots can cause permenant skin damage, some people have a skin surface like the face of the moon.

how old are you and how long since the acne was bad?

20. I had it when I was 15. I mainly have the red marks on my forehead and temple. Luckily, my skin is smooth. The red marks are like flat pimples. I cant feel them at all.

I think they'll go away. Because I know old people who have scars (and from watching tv) but their skin tone is even. Thats all I want lol.

I got to have a positive attitude. Have you ever seen old people 40+ with red marks? I know some have sun damage..

The guy said use this cleanser and a vitamin c serum. I noticed a slight improvememnt, but when I asked him, do you recommend I keep using this stuff or should I get laser done (which he does also) and he said stick with it. Oh well, I guess time is the ultimate solution. Its probably gonna be like 10+ years
