In case you take our freedoms for granted, check this out:

other way round, women are lower in society than men and a father is always trying to marry off his daughter to a rich business man who can support the whole family.
a marriage bonds two families in the east, not two people hence why families pay dowries (sp)

I guess, I really have a problem with this...
