I saw a thing on TV and a guy said time travel is like flying was. It seemed impossible and only a dream to the people before us and now we think nothign of it today. He said time travel is a dream for us but will be be an everyday thing for our grandkids

If you look into the string theory time is just another dimension out of 10. If there were beings that lived in 2 dimensions and could only directly interact with 2 dimensions (X and Y) their world would be similar to a piece of paper. Now, if you roll their dimension into a tube or fold it, they can pass from one edge of their dimension (the piece of paper) to the next edge, popping from one spot to another instantaneously.

Time is the same way with us. If you could imagine condensing 3 dimensions into a piece of paper, folding that 'paper' over itself would allow us to pop from one part to another. Pretty simple, except we can't directly interact with the dimension above us.

Time travel is a cool idea and all, but it is unachievble by humans even if it is possbile. a human body cannot withstand traveling at the speed of light, and neither can any man made or natural earth material that woul "protect" it. The speed is not withstandable. All matter would disintegrate at not even close to the speed of light. We dont even know what light really is either. All we know is that darkness is the absence of light. The human understanding of these things is absolutely minmal and to come to an understanding great enough to achieve time travel will never happen. my thought.

Youre assuming that the only way between point A and point B is to travel a straight line and all the infinite points in between that make up that line. I think as science evolves much of what we think we know will be thrown out the window.

I agree. part of my pont is that what we think we know and understand really isnt true, or that we have only .0001% of the puzzle.

Anyways. time travel wont happen. and if it does, it will be thousands of years out of our reach anyway, so who cares? It's not like studying time travel with our current technology will get you anywhere. most things are discovered by chance, and if TT is ever discovered, it will be by chance.
